Math and Literacy Acticities in April 2013

We do math and literacy activities on a daily basis. Our children learn through games and interactions, not repetitive drill by the teacher. We believe playing is the right way and only way for young children to learn.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a classic alphabet book that makes every letter a unique character. There is a fun rhythm flowing with the story, which children love to learn and recite.

flower and plants (0401/2013)

Children love flowers, for the vibrant colors, fragrant smell, and various shapes and patterns.  We explore flowers with our children this week. Children learned the song of "I like flowers" and they got many chance to touch and experiment with different kinds of flowers.

Fire Engine Visit (04/01/2013)

We were so happy that three well-trained, passionate and very kind fire fighters came to our little school with the fascinating fire engine from Santa Clara Fire Department.

They spent about half hour with our children, the teachers and some of the parents. Everyone got a chance to get onto the fire engine, touch the outfit, and watched the magnificent water shooting.

What a wonderful experience ! Thank you, our community protectors.
